He aha te mea nui? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata!

What is the most important thing? It is the people, it is the people, it is the people!

“Let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.”

HEBREWS 10:24-25

One of our core values here at Bridges is to walk together in relationship as a whaanau – to walk with God and to walk with His people. Our values shape our vision – to build bridges between the world and the Kingdom of God.

One of the ways we actively seek to outwork this value and vision is through offering connect groups for any person, any age.

SMALL GROUPS

We encourage anyone who is regularly attending Bridges to consider joining a ‘Small Group’ so that they can get to know others and grow in relationship with each other and
with God.

We have small groups for ages 10 to 100! There are a number of connect groups running currently. They range from day-time to evening groups, from craft to bible study, to prayer and worship groups and more. If you would like more information and would like to find YOUR small group, please email the Church Office office@bridgeschurch.co.nz

BRIDGES YOUTH

Bridges Youth exists to disciple and equip young people – helping them find freedom in relationship with Jesus.
The purpose of the Bridges Youth community is “to know you, and for you to know God.”

Our youth leadership team is motivated to get to know the teenagers within our community and encourage them as they learn how to read and interpret Scripture, go deeper in their relationship with the Lord, boldly share their faith with others, and so much more.

Bridges Youth meets every Wednesday night (during term time) 6:45 – 8:45pm at the Church. In addition to this, there are also multiple social events and gatherings within the term outside of a Wednesday night.

To know more, you can contact bridgesyouthcomms@gmail.com or find us on social media!

GAP

GAP is designed for middle school aged students to meet with each other and with God.

THURSDAY NIGHTS: GAP runs every Thursday evening throughout the term - 6:00pm to 7:15pm.

SUNDAY MORNINGS: Intermediates enjoy all the fun parts of Bridges Kids on Sunday mornings and then seperate out to their own program to grow and be discipled with leaders focused on their age group.

KIDS CHURCH

Bridges Church runs a Children’s Ministry Programme

every Sunday morning during our main service – from 10:40am to 11:40am.

Bridges Kids get to learn about God and His Word, grow their faith, and build relationships with each other on a Sunday while the main service is on. At 10:40am after worship, the children aged 4+ come together for morning tea and then break off into smaller age-based groups to dive into Bible learning. Our heart is for the children to know the Father’s love – Agape – to build their faith within the truth and to be an active and valuable part of the church. We are blessed to have a faithful team of leaders who act on their desire for the kids to know Jesus by teaching them each week.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22v6

AROHA CAFE

Aroha Cafe is open every Sunday after our service.

“No matter what, make room in your heart to love every believer, and show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God showing up as guests.”

Hebrews 13:1-2

Hospitality is generous, giving, genuine, unselfish, friendly, sharing, inclusive, heartfelt, safe, social, creative, warm and happy.

The name AROHA for our cafe is significant, in that it involves many layers of meaning. It offers a profound message of love and connection. It draws us to feel concern, compassion and empathy for others. We pray that Aroha Cafe will be a place where people experience any measure of these in a meaningful way.

Our Vision

To provide an inviting space to serve excellent coffee/tea and snacks, with flair and style. Create a friendly atmosphere where people feel comfortable to sit, converse, linger and share, while they eat and drink after Church.

Our Mission

To build unity in our faith community by engaging in meaningful conversation around faith, community, and love of people – over good food and coffee.

WORSHIP

WORSHIP AT BRIDGES

The passion and joy of the Bridges Worship team is to lead our congregation into a place of real connection with the Holy Spirit through praise and worship of our most high God;

to enter into a space where the Holy Spirit is flowing and the words we sing are anchored in biblical truth. While musical excellence is always a goal – as we do want to give our best in worship – Our goal is actually to seek God and know Him more.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The worship team practices most Thursday nights from 7pm.

Let Malcolm know if being part of the worship and serving through either helping with sound/media or on the worship team interests you by texting 027 601 8928.
